Shabby Wings

Once a week my husband comes home and brings his clean work clothes home, which brings with it 10 hangers.
I have been trying to figure out what to do with them besides give them to Goodwill.
So with metal hangers and lace, I made Shabby Wings?
Take a look!

New Finds

Found some great finds this week!!
I found this awesome pot that had a pole or something in the middle of it for flowers or  maybe a tree!!
Guess what!!??

Cake Stand Redo

I'm not sure if you remember the cake stand that I bought from Good Will months ago but I finally got to it!! Yay!!

You can find it here.

My hope was to paint it and stress it.

After getting to the project, I had to change things up a bit.

Here's why.

Goodwill...... Not Good

Have you ever went into a thrift store, Goodwill or yard sale and saw a piece you loved, no one had claimed it yet, so you run like the devil is chasing you and grab it???
Well, just look at this little gem...

Handmade Goats Milk Soap

I love handmade soap!

I have wanted to make soap in forever but it always seems so daunting.

Do you feel that way too?

Well, I found a sweet lady, whom I found on one of these link parties, that had made some bars of soap and she inspired me to make some.

Please check her blog out, Confessions of a Plate Addict, you will love it. She shares the whole process of making soap, which is very easy.

Something for You

I love taking pictures! And I take lots and lots of pictures!! When I do, I don't always take pictures of things that are interesting. At the time it may seem like a great idea but you look at it later and say to yourself "why did I take that". Anyone else do that??

I took a picture of a fake spray of roses I bought at a thrift store some time ago and found it when I was going through my pics yesterday.

Here is the before.

Stuffed Pork Chops

Do you love pork chops? The Mister does and this week he wanted me to make stuffed pork chops! We first saw stuffed pork chops at Safeway but when I saw the price, it's like "I'm not paying that much for a pork chop"!! Seriously!!
I paid $7.41 for four boneless pork chops (which is still pricey to me) versus $11 something for a single stuffed pork chop from Safeway!

Bedroom Update

The bedroom update is my daughter's. She has had this color, pink/blue/green, in her room since she was little! We have never painted it another color, WHY you ask, because when you look at these pictures you can see all the crap pretty things she has collected over the years. AND there was to much to move and paint.
