Our Country Kitchen

Welcome to our kitchen!! It is still being up dated and I plan to paint the ceiling and cupboards when it gets cooler outside. Right now it is about 102 degrees, whew!!!
Everyone comes threw the kitchen door, even though it is considered the back door, lol.

Moving to the left you see the sink, my stained glass window I picked up at a yard sale for $5,
and all my signs I have collected over the years.

Mora Clock and Metal Arch Display

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I have been on here. First I got sick, which I still have this darn cold. Then I needed to get ready for my daughter's college graduation and party. Then the last two weeks we have been preparing and moving my daughter to another state. That was probably the hardest things I have ever done in my life. How about you? Any empty nesters out there? She was our only child, I don't know how I could have handled more!!!!

Well, I haven't had time to make anything yet or the want to either but I did order a couple of things that I absolutely love. I would like to share them with you.

First I ordered this Mora clock from Antique Farm House. I have wanted one of these for many many years and finally could afford a reproduction. I love Antique Farm House but most of the time they are to expensive for my blood.... So you ready to see it??

Feeling Better and Garden Pictures

I'm sorry I haven't been posting! I have been sick for a couple of weeks. Just getting back, not quite on my feet full time but getting there, whew!! The old I get the harder it is to bounce back.
I haven't been working on anything since I have been down but here are some pics from my flower garden I started at the end of May.

Hometalk and DIY Birdhouses

I love Hometalk!!
If you love birdhouses like I do, then you will want to check out these fun DIY Birdhouses!!
There is a desk clock repurposed into a birdhouse, a liquor bottle made into a birdhouse, who knew,  and so many more...

Grocery Sign From a Junk Board

I'm so happy how this sign turned out. Take a look!
I started with this awesome junk from my new neighbors who tore down the outbuildings on their property.

L.O.V.E Letters

Look what I received in the mail yesterday from Embellished Living!!!!!! So excited I won!
Kammy's Korner  was hosting a giveaway for Embellished Living. I am the lucky recipient!!
Look at the wrapping.... I LOVE it!

Hard Work and Dump Finds - Literally

I have been working hard in the flower garden this week and DH and friends had to replace the roof this week. Lots and lots of work. Will show you the garden later. BUT first....... I had to load up the roofing that they threw on the ground and haul it to the dump.
Not looking forward to emptying the truck again, I wearily headed to the dump. Color me surprised when the guy in the backhoe asked me if I wanted him to help empty the truck, heck yeah....
It took like 5 minutes to scoop out the roofing, yippee!!!
Now I had to go back home and load up more, but the second time up there was a different story. A different person and he did not help. He actually turned the machine off when I sat down and took a break, SEVERAL times, mind you. It took forever but, while I was there a truck pulled up and dumped this sweet little table off.
Love the design on the front..
Not crazy about the legs so much.

Do You Like Watering Cans??

Who doesn't love watering cans! I have several and decided I should do something with one of them.
I see so many wreaths around on the blogs that I thought it would be a great idea.
I'm not very creative when it comes to making a wreath, so bare with me.
I knew I wanted to use a basket. When I went to GW last week, I spotted this one.

It was brown when I bought it and I knew that wouldn't work, so I spray painted it white in between wind storms. That is not easy when mother nature wants her way. Just sayin'.
Next, what to put in it?
In February, we bought our daughter an arrangement of flowers for Valentine's Day. When they start to die, I turn them upside down and let them dry.
This was the arrangement.

Welcome Sign

I happened to be in the right spot at the right time! I was taking care of a friends dog and saw these 3 closet doors in the dumpster area. They are light, tall and narrow, score.
