Wonderful 4th of July Findings

Happy 4th of July!!

I've been busy these last couple of weeks!
We went to Colorado to visit my daughter, it was so good to see her again. How I miss her!

While visiting her, we stopped in at a couple of thrift stores and
can I just say I wish we had thrift stores here like they do in Colorado.
To bad we only had our car, I could have loaded up a truck or two, lol.

While in Colorado (pics coming), I was bidding on the fab mirror back home and won, love
the internet.

Here are the pics from the auction.

Here is a close up of the goodness on the mirror!

Please don't mind my phone and fingers in this photo, lol.

I'm thinking I need to paint the frame white and the mirror
needs to be secured to the frame better.
What do you think?

Isn't it gorgeous?

Now for some Goodwill finds.

Look at those knobs, love.

I think it would look cute repainted and add
some legs?

Loved this! I can see it repainted. Love the curves.

Very dirty inside but hoping I can change that.

Cute little paper mache box

I just loved these faux flowers. They are fuzzy to the touch, just like the real ones would be

Loving this distressed metal M. My daugher's name starts with M.

And I didn't know it when I picked the M up but there was
an E under it. I know it can spell out ME but it also is the initial
of my husbands name. How awesome! And the same distressed metal.

The detail on this frame is awesome. Can't wait to paint it!

oh la la

Loved the shape of this
 mirror

Would you look at this metal tray!!
LOVE!!

I'm trying to decide if I want to paint it white and distress it.
What do you think??

And I bought these belts in hopes to make a few bracelets!
Love them! My phone camera didn't take very good pics but they are so cool!

Aren't these adorable??

And look at these. All that yummy goodness of bindings and ribbon and such!

This is one of the things I found in Colorado at Goodwill!
Unfortunately, I found a crack in it when I got home. Can't figure out how I missed that one.
I think I can fix it though.
I love these little jewelry boxes. When I was younger, my parents split up and my
dad gave me one of these for Christmas. Loved them ever since then.
I am thinking I might paint the outside and need to clean the inside.
What do you think about painting it??

You can tell I have a love affair for letters. I found this beauty in
one of the Colorado thrift stores.
Of course it's my initial, now we are complete or at least till I find more, ha.

And there you have it!!
Hope you enjoyed looking at these finds of mine.

Tell me what you have found and love!

  1. Cheryl,
    Amazing Goodwill finds, dear one!
I have that exact frame in a 4"X 6" size!
Didn't paint mine, as we used it for our business many years ago. I had several shoppers to the booth try to purchase it!
The handled tray looks amazing painted white and wiped clean in places! We had these in the Antique Shoppe where I was formerly employed and they didn't $ell until I convinced the owner to let me take them home over the weekend and paint! By close of business Monday, they had all $old!
Thanks for your sweet visit and comment recently!
    Have a wonderful week ahead!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  2. You found a bunch of great stuff! You and I have the same taste in "junk". Thanks for visiting my blog. I think the mirror is great and white would be a good color for it. I think the tray would be amazing in white. Have a great weekend!
