Repurposed Antique Surveying Transit Tripod

Well, as you know I had cleaned out our little shed the other day. Look what I found!!! Isn't it just gorgeous?? Yes, it is!
It is a antique surveying transit tripod, say that 3 times fast. My husbands father used to have this when he was working on building highways in this town, many moons ago.

Yep, I had to put it in the house. Wouldn't you?
Yes you would!!

Look at those gorgeous legs. So sturdy yet dainty...

This is what I did with it. I put that fake ivy plant on it until I can think of something better.

But doesn't it look great as a plant stand?
I love it! And it is a great way to honor H's dad who passed away two years ago. H even liked it, which is saying something.
Hope you enjoyed my repurposed idea.
Have a great day and come back and visit.
