Taking a break

I would like to let everyone know that I am taking a break from blogging. I don't think I have many followers but for those of you that do I don't know if or when I will be back. Thank you to all who have taken the time to leave comments, I appreciated every one of them.

Metal Picture Redo

I've had this metal picture hanging around for years! I bought two of them at a yard sale about 15 years ago and hung them up outside on our deck. You can imagine over 15 years the pictures that were on there had faded, lol. I kept saying I would put something else in its place, which were four pictures of various wine labels that were on them when I bought them. Finally I have decide to make them over. Here we go!

Goodwill Hunting

Since returning home I have been busy painting up a storm! I also need to get out and do some gardening and finish the deck but best laid plans and all that, lol.

Today I am going to show you what I found at my local Goodwill. I usually go in thinking I won't find anything but that was not the case yesterday. Here we go.

First off I bought 12, 1/2 pint canning jars that were new and unopened for $3.99, score. Always need those! Didn't get a picture of those, we all know what they look like, lol.

I love this little Paris chest!! It's very clean on the outside and the inside. I don't think anyone used it!

Pink Cabinet Redo!!

I am slow at getting projects painted but I am getting there.
I bought this cabinet with a truck load of other goodies from a friend of mine about two months ago.
I haven't showed any of them so far but I will as I go along.
So here is the Pink Cabinet.

Another month gone!

Where does the time go?? I have been to Colorado in Sept. to help my daughter move into her own place, then back to our place in Oregon to clean the house and off to another part of Oregon to help my sister move out of her house. It has been a busy month and now we are into October. I have even a bigger mess that I left at our house. Both my daughter and sister gave me things to take back and now I am in a painting mode. Here we go!! Remember this little number? This is the Before picture.

Modern Furniture Fab Fine

I can't believe it has been over a month since my last post!! How does that happen? It goes by so fast and it seems like I am collecting more things than I am finishing, lol, but I am having fun doing so.
Which brings me to this little find.

Just washed off the deck so we can paint or stain it. Looks so nice wet but not so much when it dries out.

It is modern style and usually I am not drawn to that style but I thought this was way cool.

The question..... What should I do with it?
Should I paint it and then leave it with the same legs and handles?
Or put new handles and legs on or just handles or just legs????

What would you do?
Let me know in the comments.

Wonderful 4th of July Findings

Happy 4th of July!!

I've been busy these last couple of weeks!
We went to Colorado to visit my daughter, it was so good to see her again. How I miss her!

While visiting her, we stopped in at a couple of thrift stores and
can I just say I wish we had thrift stores here like they do in Colorado.
To bad we only had our car, I could have loaded up a truck or two, lol.

While in Colorado (pics coming), I was bidding on the fab mirror back home and won, love
the internet.

Here are the pics from the auction.

Here is a close up of the goodness on the mirror!

Repurposed Sewing Cabinet to Phone Stand

I have finally finished the sewing cabinet/phone stand!!
It has taken me so long to do this.
You see, I do not have an area to paint in and it has been windy EVERY day for the last several months, (ok, at least two months non stop).
Here it is before.

BEFORE & AFTER

Yard Sales and Tio

I still haven't finished my latest project yet but I'm working on it. I thought I would share my recent finds with you. Some are from last weeks yard sales and some are from this Saturday.
I don't know about your part of the world bur here in mine it is sooooooooo hot. 99 degrees hot! And I don't wanna work outside lol.

Don't you just love this??? I love pooh and the watch is so adorable and never worn. Not sure if it works but will can add a battery if need be.

Repainted Stool

So I am finally working on projects again but at a more manageable level, lol.
At least that is what I am telling myself.
Yesterday I showed you the stool I bought years ago.
The intentions were to paint it but didn't.
Here is the stool Before & After.
