Metal Picture Redo

I've had this metal picture hanging around for years! I bought two of them at a yard sale about 15 years ago and hung them up outside on our deck. You can imagine over 15 years the pictures that were on there had faded, lol. I kept saying I would put something else in its place, which were four pictures of various wine labels that were on them when I bought them. Finally I have decide to make them over. Here we go!

This is the Before pic. When I first got it I liked it. The first picture is right after I washed it down. It's way to dark for my tastes so since everything was faded or coming off I decided to paint it.

I used Rustoleum spray paint & primer to paint it.

Then I distressed it with a little sand paper.

And then added some watercolor birds I found off the internet and some scrap paper. The first bird is from a very talented artist I found through Miss Mustard Seed called Blule. The second bird is from Pinterest.

Sorry, I am taking these with my phone.

And the paint bubbled a little which I love the effect of!
Hard to see in the two pictures below.

Now I just need to hang it up in my daughter's room.

What do you think?
Improved or not?
