Great finds of the week

Well, it seems like I have been very lazy (and I have) but I still made it out to look for things I don't need. :0) Like this sweet little cake plate made of wood.

Isn't she lovely. I think she would love to be painted white and shabbied up a bit.
What do you think? Can't you see a pretty cake sitting here!

Next we have a fun piece. Look at this darling whale, isn't he fun. He would look
great painted white and chippy with maybe beach written on him or a chalkboard.
Let me know what you would do??

How pretty is this little lady. I'm not much into this kind of stuff but really liked her.

Look at this little table... It is a little rough but she is a beaut.

She is missing her legs :0( but we will give her some sexy ones soon. I went to this yard sale last weekend and asked how much they wanted for this little table, there were about 4 people who said they didn't know because they were still looking for the legs. So when I was finished looking around I again ask what they wanted and the gal said how about $5. Yes I will take her. YAY!!!

I am thinking of painting her white and shabbying her up a little.
What about adding four legs instead of the one???
What would you do??

Do you ever need just a little more storage when you walk in the door. Something to set your purse on or put your hubby's shoes in or just whatever???

With a little help and paint I think it will work just fine for $5.

This is a cute little basket. Even though it isn't Christmas, I picked this up for my daughter. She loves snowmen and I thought it would be great to put a little gift in it.

This little dish caught my eye. She is dainty and pretty. My first thought was to make her into a stacked dish and paint the handle. Not sure what to do here. Just will hold onto her until I figure it out.

I love fake flowers that look fairly real. Like these, I never pass them up.

What about scrabble!! I never see these at GW or yard sales, so when I saw this one, I grabbed it. So many things you can do with these little wood pieces.

And for free, my friend gave me several books and cookbooks. This Bible from 1976, love it. Looks brand new. Would be great for projects. A big fat dictionary for several projects too!
Here's the huge Bible!!

And here is the lamp base she gave me, thank you Vic.

Over all I would say that it was a great haul. Can't wait to get started with these projects and to finish going through those cookbooks.
Thanks for stopping by and going through my goodies with me. Have a great weekend!

  1. I love that table! Four legs most assuredly. Not sure I would paint it, but then again, I never paint wood. Would love to see the final outcome! Also, I really like that cup...looks like depression era glass but I can't really tell, except I can tell I really like it! Good finds!

  7. Love all your goodies. A wonderful haul. As far as the table, I would take the leg off and put 4 bun legs on, paint it white and age it down, and them use it on a counter. Maybe it's bigger than it looks, so forgive me if it's too big for my idea.
