Hard Work and Dump Finds - Literally

I have been working hard in the flower garden this week and DH and friends had to replace the roof this week. Lots and lots of work. Will show you the garden later. BUT first....... I had to load up the roofing that they threw on the ground and haul it to the dump.
Not looking forward to emptying the truck again, I wearily headed to the dump. Color me surprised when the guy in the backhoe asked me if I wanted him to help empty the truck, heck yeah....
It took like 5 minutes to scoop out the roofing, yippee!!!
Now I had to go back home and load up more, but the second time up there was a different story. A different person and he did not help. He actually turned the machine off when I sat down and took a break, SEVERAL times, mind you. It took forever but, while I was there a truck pulled up and dumped this sweet little table off.
Love the design on the front..
Not crazy about the legs so much.
Needs some love but when I asked her if I could have it she said sure. Yippee!!!
Then she threw out these iron legs... What!!!
I asked if I could have those too and she said "are you sure you want them? They came off a bench?" You bet I want them. SCORE. I was shouting on the inside!! Doing my little happy dance, lol!

So those were the two items I scored at the dump, YES!! Fist Pump!!
I guess it was worth all the hard work of taking those shingles out of the truck. hehe

This is from our neighbors house that was being torn down. We were told to go in a take what we wanted. SO I DID!!
Can't wait to fix it up!
Look at this DOORRRRR, Yay. You can never have to many old doors, lol.

This ladder, what can I say, we all need an old ladder.
Two twin headboards and foot-boards. I'm thinking benches! What a haul.
Here's a couple of GW finds

Don't you just love her and her sexy legs!!
And this, look at this clock... I am a sucker for clocks. I think I have collected like 50 of them.
Yes, my house ticks, alot, lol, everywhere!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I'm glad you did!

  2. What great timing you have! Great table and iron legs! How nice to just go get all those great items from your neighbors. I had that happen once to me at an office worked at. It was closing down, the boss already left town and we could take what we wanted. Lucky for me he was into vintage and antiques! I am starting to have a thing for clocks myself lately...I have collected 3 so far!
